Renewable Products From Northern Forests
Lotus Timber OÜ, an Estonian company, utilizes Nordic wood and is committed to environmental sustainability through innovative and balanced wood production methods that reduce ecological impact.
Wood products help combat environmental challenges in the construction industry by minimizing the carbon footprint of production and transport, sequestering carbon, and preventing it from entering the atmosphere. Lotus Timber sources all its wood from sustainably managed northern forests, with traceable origins across its supply countries - around 50% from Finland, supplemented by supplies from Sweden and Estonia
The origin of wood is known in all the wood supply countries.
Chain of custody certification proves that origin, legality, and sustainability are realized throughout the supply chain. Following PEFC and FSC® chain of custody certification requirements, the trees' origin is known and the chain of origin is independently verified.
Lotus Timber joined ESG Masterclass
Over the 5 months - end of 2024 and the beginning of 2025, Lotus Timber diligently worked to develop our ESG management principles, strategy, and roadmap, tailored to our company's specific impacts, risks, and opportunities.
Our journey was guided by top mentors from Sustinere, experts in management, circular economy, ESG reporting, biodiversity, social impact, and governance practices.
This transformative Masterclass was supported and organized by EIS, and it all began with one pivotal question:

In the ESG Strategy Masterclass, led by Sustinere for the second year in a row and commissioned by EIS,
20 companies embarked on a deep dive into what ESG truly means in practice:

This was no theoretical exercise — it was a hands-on exploration of ESG principles.
More than 60 participants from these companies joined seven full training days, supported by 11 dedicated mentors and trainers. Together, they developed real strategies — not checklists or templates, but focused, business-driven ESG roadmaps with clear priorities, measurable goals, action plans, timelines, and internal ownership.
Implementing ESG wasn't just about drafting a document; it was about truly embedding it into daily practice.
We explored barriers, leadership, and how to turn ambition into action.
This wasn't a "tick-the-box" course.
